North Pole Activities

Is there anything more magical than the North Pole? I love to bring a little of the North Pole magic into my classroom using this great thematic unit featuring Santa and his Reindeers!

Kids love having Reindeer Day, Elf Day, Jingle Bell Day, Santa Day, and of course North Pole Day (Polar Express Day).

Everything you need to bring in the magic is included in our North Pole Thematic Unit. (Enhanced by it's companion Polar Express Unit). And even better, with all of our thematic units the academic learning is not put on hold for the holidays, rather academics are enhanced with holiday fun! You will love our easy to use scripted games.

The first place to begin is the block center and the dramatic play center, from there Christmas simply spills throughout the room!

Great Themes are Based in Quality Literature

There are many fun books that I love to read my students, here are a few with affiliate links.

I love showing some of the cute videos that remind me of my childhood. Best of all they are short, for short attentions spans and easy to access on youtube.

And of course we have to sing old favorites like this one from nancymusic.com.

Or this classroom favorite by singlish.com

Our thematic unit is packet is stuffed with art activities. Construct (creating with paper) is a great way to get STEM in your classroom. As kids learn how to design, cut and fit pieces together, their spacial reasoning is greatly developed.

Who doesn't love to draw Santa. This easy child-friendly guided drawing lesson makes a great portfolio page, card, or drawing.

I love this original song I wrote many, many years ago, kids love it every year. This poster is included among this great Thematic Unit.

Our North Pole thematic unit is filled with cross-curricular academic learning. You can purchase this unit below at our store, or visit our store at Teacher's Pay Teachers.
